Rome's beautiful 15th-century Palazzo Altemps (Altemps Palace) has been thoroughly renovated and is now home to the sculpture collection of the Museo Nazionale Romano. Famous sculptures and works of art housed in Rome's Palazzo Altemps (Altemps Palace) include the carved reliefs on the Ludovisi Sarcophagus and the Galata, which represent a warrior's heroic death, and an imposing statue of Hercules which was sculpted in the 5th century BC.
These exhibits, and many more, are also labelled in English, making it easy to understand and appreciate the works of art on display at Rome's Palazzo Altemps (Altemps Palace). In 1982 the Palazzo Altemps (Altemps Palace) was donated to the city of Rome and it became a major museum and historic art gallery in 1997, containing one of the most interesting collections of Roman sculpture in Rome.
